Today the kids all hiked 7 km in the rain (we travelled to the rainy side of the island today) across a volcano crater and no one whined or complained very much. I was so proud of them. We hiked first through a rainforest to get to the crater - max loved telling us all about the 4 layers of the canopy he'd learned about in school. Then he and Kai sang us a song about it. The crater was super cool too, you could stick your hand in the steam vents!!! Did
I mention we forgot our rain gear! Oops... We looked like a real motley crew!!!
